Description

• Prepare and manage financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification or relevant degree in finance or accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the Energy & Natural Resources industry is advantageous but not essential.
