Production Manager
Location: Leicester
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 DOE + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, Permanent Days Role

Due to continued expansion and internal development plans, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join the leadership team.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for production and operational performance across the manufacturing operation.

Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in driving efficiency, improving operational processes, developing teams, and supporting the long-term growth of the business.

The role would suit an experienced Production Manager, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leader from a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production and operational activities
• Manage production planning, scheduling, and workflow efficiency
• Drive improvements across productivity, utilisation, quality, and waste reduction
• Develop and lead production teams within a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
• Improve operational processes, systems, and shopfloor performance
• Work closely with engineering, quality, purchasing, and warehouse functions
• Support maintenance planning and equipment reliability activities
• Ensure high standards of health & safety across the operation
• Contribute to operational strategy and future growth planning

About You

• Experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar
• Strong background within manufacturing or production environments
• Proven ability to improve operational performance and team capability
• Experience managing production teams and driving accountability
• Good understanding of planning, capacity, workflow, and manufacturing processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
• Continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing experience beneficial

Desirable Experience

• Fast-paced or technical manufacturing environments
• Lean / 5S / CI implementation
• Production planning and scheduling systems
• ERP or manufacturing systems exposure
• Process improvement or automation projects
• Senior leadership or operational strategy involvement
