Payroll Co-ordinator (Temporary) 
3–6 Month Contract | £14.50+ | Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm

Pertemps Recruitment is working on behalf of one of our clients to recruit a Payroll Co-ordinator for a temporary contract, initially for 3–6 months.

The scope of this role may be subject to change depending on the experience of the successful candidate.

The Payroll Co-ordinator will assist with the timely, accurate, and confidential processing of company payrolls and payroll bureaus, along with supporting the administration of employee benefits.

Key Duties 

    • Support end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payrolls and bureaus
    • Set up new starters in Cintra and check transfers to Softworks
    • Maintain and update employee records, including job details and tax codes
    • Import payroll data, calculate hours, bonuses, and additional payments/deductions
    • Assist with accurate calculation of pay, holiday pay, sick pay, overtime, and bonuses
    • Ensure payroll activity complies with HMRC and statutory requirements
    • Act as first poInt of contact for payroll queries, escalating where necessary
    • Maintain attendance and sickness absence records
    • Prepare payroll reports and journals for finance and management teams

About You 
    • Previous experience in a payroll or payroll support role
    • Good understanding of payroll processes and HMRC compliance
    • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
    • Confident working to deadlines in a temporary role

The Details 

    • Salary: £27,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)
    • Contract: Temporary (3–6 months initially)
    • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
    • Benefits: Free onsite parking
