Stock Controller

Salary: £30,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Barnsley, who are looking to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join their operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate stock records across raw materials, components, and finished goods
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability to meet production demands
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, implementing corrective actions where required
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits, ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Work closely with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth stock flow
• Analyse stock data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within inventory management processes

Key Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a Stock Controller or Inventory role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of stock control systems and ERP/MRP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
