About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Executive to play a key role in driving the company’s growth. This position is pivotal in developing and maintaining a strong portfolio of customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering a consistently high standard of service.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to align sales activity with the company’s short- and long-term objectives, while building lasting relationships with customers and suppliers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is proactive, commercially curious, and driven to succeed in a dynamic sales environment.

Job Details

  • Salary: Competitive, with commission and incentives
  • Holidays: 25 days per year
  • Working Hours:
    • Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
    • Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop a profitable customer portfolio through ethical and effective sales methods
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries using appropriate sales techniques
  • Procure products in line with customer needs and company guidelines
  • Work closely with internal teams to optimise service quality, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Resolve issues with customers and suppliers, including financial matters, in a collaborative manner
  • Attend and present at customer meetings, representing the company professionally at all times
  • Identify, analyse, and report on market and customer trends
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Present and promote the company to prospective customers in a professional manner
  • Monitor competitor activity and gather relevant market intelligence
  • Liaise with global business units to maximise overall sales opportunities
  • Ensure all sales administration is completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain and regularly update the customer database
  • Conduct and report on account planning strategies when required
  • Attend industry events and functions when required
