A leading UK-wide niche consultancy group based in Wakefield are seeking an experienced CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Management Accountant/Finance Manager to join the business at a pivotal stage of its expansion. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will gain full commercial exposure across the business and become a key figure in driving financial performance and operational improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all financial operations across the group, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and efficient processes are in place.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement improvements to support the ongoing growth of the business.
- Take ownership of the accounts team, effectively managing workloads and responsibilities based on individual strengths.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable function to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and high standards are maintained.
- Provide timely and meaningful financial updates to senior stakeholders, delivering clear insight into current performance, forecasts, and future projections.
- Present financial information and commercial insight to both internal and external stakeholders, helping to influence key business decisions and support the organisation’s strategic growth plans.
About You:
- Ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Proven experience operating in a senior Management Accountant/Financial Accountant/Finance Manager role with desire to take on a leadership position.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and process improvement
- Previous exposure to multi-site SME environments would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to make a genuine impact within a growing organisation
