Purchase Ledger Clerk (Temporary)

Location: Norwich
Contract: Temporary – 2–3 months
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Pay rate: £13.00 per hour 

We are currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a large, well-established and successful organisation based in Norwich. This is a temporary role expected to last between 2–3 months, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a busy and supportive finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices
  • Handling supplier queries via phone and email
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts
  • Supporting payment runs and general ledger administration
  • Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks as required

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
