Halliday Marx have partnered with a Global Real Estate firm to hire a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.


Responsibilities

  • Ownership of corporate accounting across Europe, including monthly and quarterly reporting with clear, concise variance analysis for both regional and group stakeholders
  • Production and continuous improvement of monthly reporting packs in partnership with senior finance leadership
  • Monthly revenue reporting, including identification of risks and opportunities, working closely with FP&A and wider finance teams
  • Oversight of accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash collection, and balance sheet integrity in collaboration with shared services
  • Business partnering with FP&A and operational teams during forecasting and annual planning cycles
  • Management of VAT compliance across multiple European entities, liaising with external advisors and internal tax teams
  • Ownership of quarterly tax provisioning processes in coordination with US stakeholders
  • Support on payroll accounting and related financial processes
  • Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control across finance operations
  • Preparation and review of journals, reconciliations, and financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Management of US GAAP adjustments and secondary ledgers across jurisdictions
  • Review of financial statements across audited and non-audited entities
  • Support in developing and strengthening financial control frameworks and procedures
  • Lead on external audits across UK and European entities, acting as key point of contact for auditors
  • Preparation of technical accounting papers on relevant standards and treatments
  • Responding to stakeholder queries, providing clear financial insight to both finance and non-finance audiences
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations across regions to ensure quality and consistency


Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA)
  • Strong understanding of VAT, company structures, and payroll accounting across the UK and Europe
  • Solid grounding in technical accounting and relevant GAAP frameworks (ideally within real estate)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a multi-entity, international environment
  • Background in real estate or a comparable asset-heavy sector preferred
  • Experience managing audit processes and working with external auditors
