Year 2 Teacher – Doncaster 

Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Academic Year (Until July 2027)
Pay: M1–M6 (Paid to Scale)

 

Reed Education are delighted to be recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Doncaster from September 2026 through to July 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated KS1 practitioner who is passionate about securing strong outcomes for pupils at a crucial stage in their primary education.

The Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
• Confidently teach and support pupils through their end of Key Stage 1 expectations and assessments
• Demonstrate secure knowledge and delivery of Read Write Inc (RWI) phonics
• Maintain high standards of behaviour through effective classroom management
• Accurately assess and track pupil progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and families
• Be proactive and willing to get stuck in to all aspects of school life

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
• Confidence and experience delivering RWI phonics
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• A passion for consistently delivering high-quality teaching
• A committed, adaptable, and hands-on approach
• Dedication to supporting pupils in achieving their best outcomes
