Halliday Marx have partnered with a high growth entertainment business to hire a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of key areas of the monthly management accounts
• Preparation of journals including accruals, prepayments, and revenue adjustments
• Production of P&L and balance sheet with clear variance analysis vs budget/forecast
• Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies
• Supporting a timely and accurate month-end close
• Analysis of revenue streams across different areas of the business
• Monitoring KPIs such as user acquisition cost, lifetime value (LTV), and conversion rates
• Partnering with marketing teams to assess campaign performance and ROI
• Supporting pricing and promotional analysis
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Working with stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve accuracy
• Tracking performance against forecasts and providing actionable insights
• Acting as a key point of contact for non-finance stakeholders
• Translating financial data into clear, commercial insights
• Supporting decision-making around new game launches and feature development
• Supporting the year-end audit process
• Assisting with statutory reporting requirements

Requirements

• Part qualified in either ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• 2–4 years’ experience in a management accounting or similar role
• Strong grounding in month-end processes and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups; exposure to modelling is beneficial)
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
• Strong communication skills with confidence to engage non-finance stakeholders
