REED Business Support is supporting an established organisation in North Tyneside with the recruitment of an Office Manager on a temp to perm basis.

Job Purpose

To oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the office, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and well-organised working environment while providing effective support to the team and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office operations, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and coordinating appointments.
  • Maintain office supplies, facilities, and equipment, arranging maintenance and liaising with suppliers as required.
  • Manage all generic email accounts and act as the first point of contact for enquiries, phone calls, and visitors.
  • Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including preparing reports, documents, presentations, and handling confidential correspondence.
  • Support the review and updating of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Arrange and support meetings and events, including agendas, paperwork distribution, minute-taking, and tracking actions.
  • Manage the office budget, monitor expenditure, and process invoices and payments accurately and on time.
  • Improve office systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and relevant legal requirements.
  • Represent the organisation professionally to stakeholders and provide administrative support across the wider team as required.
  • Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.

Person Specification:

  • Proven recent experience in an Office Manager / Co-ordinator, or similar role.
  • Strong organisational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.
  • Experience handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality administrative support.
  • Confident, articulate, and professional approach.
  • Flexible, resourceful, and efficient, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.

Hours of Work:

Monday – Friday – 8:30am – 4:30pm (Fully office based)
