The Role

You will lead the finance function day-to-day, supported by a Purchase Ledger direct report, and play a key role in driving performance, improving controls, and delivering commercial insight across UK and European operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and strong financial control
• Lead all core finance activities, including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow
• Provide commercial insight to senior leadership, supporting decision-making across the business
• Oversee multi-entity financial control, ensuring consistency and accuracy
• Manage VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance across UK and European jurisdictions
• Improve and strengthen processes and controls
• Act as a trusted finance partner to MDs and operational teams
• Line manage a Purchase Ledger, ensuring smooth transactional finance delivery

About You

• Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced or operational environment
• Strong background in reporting, forecasting, and cashflow management
• Exposure to multi-entity and/or international operations
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence and add value
• Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working on-site in a dynamic environment
