My client is an Engineering business based in Stafford and they currently have a need for support within their Finance team for an Accounts Assistant/Accounts Payable Clerk.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working amongst an established medium-sized finance team, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, dealing with supplier queries, performing supplier statement reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of weekly payment runs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a supportive and friendly team on initially a temporary basis with the opportunity of the role becoming permanent.

Skills required:

• At least 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable/Accounts Assistant role
• Have excellent communication skills and an ability to build lasting relationships with suppliers
• Have a good command of MS Excel
• Be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
