Science Teacher (QTS) - Farnborough

Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist secondary school in the Farnborough area to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher (QTS) for a September start. The school caters for students with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and provides a supportive, structured environment where teaching is adapted to meet individual needs.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to access the curriculum through clear structure, differentiation, and a nurturing approach. The role is suitable for teachers who are confident adapting lessons and building positive relationships with learners who require additional support.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher or ECT who is interested in working within a specialist setting.

The Role:

• Teach Science across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with MLD
• Support pupils with varying learning needs to make progress
• Assess and track student progress
• Maintain a calm, structured classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with support staff and SEN teams
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Confident adapting teaching for pupils with additional needs
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
• Patient, flexible, and supportive teaching style
• Open to working within a specialist or SEN setting

• Position: Science Teacher (QTS)
• Location: Farnborough
• Start Date: September
• Working Pattern: Full-time
• Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
• Key Stages: KS3-KS4

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

• QTS required
• SEN or specialist-setting experience beneficial
• Safeguarding training can be provided
