Finance Analyst - (6-Month Temporary Contract)

Overview
Elevation recruitment Group are seeking a qualified Finance Analyst to join a large, well-established organisation based in Chesterfield on an initial 6-month temporary contract. This role will play a key part in analysing large and complex datasets to identify cost-saving opportunities within a specific area of the business, alongside delivering core financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities
• Partner with key stakeholders to understand business performance and provide actionable insights
• Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making
• Produce regular reports, dashboards, and variance analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting outputs

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a Finance Analyst or similar role
• Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, complex formulas; Power BI or similar tools desirable)
• Ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work to tight deadlines
