The initial duration of this role is 3 months, however if business needs allow we will be looking to hire this person on a permanent contract.

We are looking for reliable, detail-focused individuals to join our Laboratory Shipping Team in a hands-on, morning-based packing role. This is a practical, active position best suited to someone who enjoys routine, structured work, staying busy, and being on their feet throughout the shift.

You will be working as part of a young, friendly team, however we welcome applications from more experienced or senior candidates as well. This role would suit someone who is happy to come in, do their job well, and leave at the end of the shift without the need for long-term career progression.

The key qualities we are looking for include being consistent, methodical, dependable, and comfortable working within a routine-based, process-driven environment with a strong attention to detail.

Full training will be provided.

Working Hours

Morning shift: 8:00am – 12:00pm Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for preparing, packing, and dispatching customer samples in line with internal SOPs and IATA guidelines. This is a structured, process-driven role where accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are essential.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare boxes and samples for shipping in line with SOPs and IATA guidelines
• Attend daily morning shipping meetings and record special customer requirements
• Accurately check lot numbers, matrix details, and sample volumes against shipping documents
• Scan and distribute paperwork to relevant team members
• Monitor the use and storage of dry ice
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Replenish packing consumables and supplies

Additional Duties

• Any other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager to support the smooth running of the company

Candidate Requirements – Essential

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Candidate Requirements – Desirable

• Previous laboratory or warehouse experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided
• IATA Qualification
