JOB TITLE: Payroll Manager

LOCATION: Swindon, Wiltshire

SALARY: up to £40,000

WAY OF WORKING: Full Time | Permanent

THE PAYROLL MANAGER OPPORTUNITY:

• Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with legislation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll, tax, and employment law requirements
• Manage statutory deductions, benefits, pensions, and tax filings
• Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance on payroll accounting
• Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data confidentiality
• Coordinate payroll audits and support internal and external audits
• Drive process improvements and payroll system enhancements

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

• Payroll Expertise: Strong knowledge of payroll processes, legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with integrated payroll/HR systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to apply logical thinking, attention to detail, and develop effective solutions for payroll issues.
• Communication & Relationship Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
