Junior Buyer!

Magnus Search are looking for a junior buyer to join a rapidly growing company based in Dunkeswell, near Honiton. This fantastic opportunity is a Full Time Permanent Position where you will be working Monday – Thursday 8am – 5.15pm and Friday 8am – 1pm

As a Junior Buyer your responsibilities will include:

• Purchase components, equipment, and services for projects and customer orders
• Process requisitions and raise purchase orders accurately
• Expedite deliveries and proactively resolve supply issues
• Liaise with internal departments to support production requirements
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Support cost reduction initiatives and identify efficiency improvements
• Monitor supplier performance and suggest corrective actions
• Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and new technologies
• Assist with MRP system development and continuous process improvements
• Support invoice query resolution and ensure purchasing accuracy

To be successful you will need:

• A genuine interest in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
• Strong organisational skills with a logical and detail-oriented approach
• Confident communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build positive relationships
• Previous administration or office-based experience
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to use initiative
• Strong problem-solving skills with a positive approach to challenges
• Reliable, approachable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working under pressure and managing deadlines
• Driven to deliver high-quality work and continuous improvement
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
