Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Recruitment Manager to lead and deliver an efficient, compliant, and customer-focused resourcing service across a large public sector organisation, including partnered Schools and Academies. This role focuses on achieving high-quality recruitment outcomes while driving continuous improvement in systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all vacancies, including those under traded service agreements, ensuring compliance with approval processes and deadlines
  • Ensure full adherence to GDPR requirements and maintain robust processes aligned with safeguarding standards
  • Provide expert guidance and support to hiring managers, customers, and employees, escalating issues where necessary
  • Line manage a team of 8 Resourcing staff (Administrators and Assistants) when required
  • Coordinate and allocate daily workload across team mailboxes
  • Drive development and continuous improvement of the applicant tracking system (currently Tribepad)
  • Contribute to sourcing and implementing ATS platforms (experience with Tribepad desirable but not essential)
  • Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, EDI data, and cost-per-hire

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment in a high-volume or public sector environment
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and safeguarding within recruitment
  • Demonstrable experience supporting and advising hiring managers and stakeholders
  • Experience leading or supervising a team, with the ability to prioritise and allocate workload effectively
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems and contributing to system improvements or implementations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience reporting on recruitment KPIs
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
