Assistant Finance Manager - Part Time | Manchester

An established and growing organisation in Manchester city centre is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a varied role within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance function and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and improving processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Management accounts support
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Payroll support
• Grants and funding reporting
• Sales and commercial reporting
• Supporting system and process improvements
• Assisting with purchase order implementation
• Sage Line 50 finance administration

About You

The business is looking for someone who can quickly integrate into the team and operate with minimal supervision.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience within a charity or not-for-profit environment
• Strong reconciliation and month-end experience
• Experience using Sage Line 50
• A practical and proactive approach
• Excellent communication skills
• QBE or AAT

• Manchester city centre location
• Hybrid working available
• Flexible part-time structure:
  • 3-4 full days OR 5 shorter day
• Salary equivalent: £35,000-£40,000 FTE
