We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our client’s busy finance team based in Redditch on a 6-month temporary contract. This position would suit a detail-oriented and organised individual who enjoys working within a fast-paced environment and supporting day-to-day finance operations. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices efficiently, and supporting internal teams with finance administration activities.
6-Month Temporary Position 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday Based in Redditch Competitive Salary Finance Assistant Job Description • Process and match supplier invoices accurately in line with company procedures and finance processes. • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries and discrepancies efficiently. • Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and support month-end finance activities. • Prepare payment run information and provide general purchase ledger administration support. • Support wider finance tasks including cash postings, sales invoicing, and maintaining accurate records. Finance Assistant Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications • Previous experience within a finance or purchase ledger administration role. • Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems. • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage workload effectively. • Strong communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to work. • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly within a busy working environment.
Desirable Experience • Previous credit control experience would be advantageous.
