Suffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children and Young People's Services - CCWDS team.

Position: Senior Social Worker - CYPS CCWDS
Hours: 37 per week
Location: North Suffolk Office bases (including Lowestoft and Saxmundham)
Flexible Working: Supported, with a minimum of 2 days office-based
Pay: £39 per hour via Umbrella

Role Overview:
This role involves working with children and families across a range of statutory duties, including:

• Conducting assessments of need under Section 17 Children Act and developing/reviewing Child in Need (CIN) plans
• Working closely with health and education colleagues, including under the CHC framework and Statutory SEND
• Undertaking Section 47 enquiries and progressing to Child Protection as needed
• Potential involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO), Private Law Section 7, and Section 37 cases
• Supporting children who are Children in Care (CIC), including those living in residential settings
• Assisting children with transitions to ASC

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
• Registered with Social Work England
