Contract Role

As part of the ongoing transformation of IT Asset and Configuration Management, ServiceNow has been adopted as the single system of record for ITAM, SAM, and CMDB data.

These roles are pivotal in stabilising and embedding these capabilities, improving data accuracy, supporting regulatory obligations including audit and operational resilience requirements.

This is a greenfield transformation environment, requiring individuals with proven experience building and maturing ITAM/SAM capabilities from the ground up, alongside strong end-to-end lifecycle management expertise across hardware and software assets .

Senior SAM Practitioner – Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and maintain accurate software entitlement records, deployments, and reconciliations to establish effective licence compliance positions.
2. Oversee software asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, optimisation, renewal, and retirement.
3. Support software audit readiness, compliance reporting, and remediation activities.
4. Improve data quality and governance within ServiceNow SAM and CMDB.
5. Produce audit-ready reporting, compliance evidence, and management information

Senior ITAM Practitioner – Key Responsibilities

1. Own and execute end-to-end lifecycle management for hardware and IT assets, from procurement through deployment, support, refresh, optimisation, and retirement.
2. Support configuration management and asset governance initiatives across the organisation.
3. Ensure asset data integrity, operational controls, and audit readiness within a regulated environment.
4. Support hardware compliance, lifecycle planning, and asset optimisation activities.
5. Drive continuous improvement of ITAM processes, controls, and operational standards.

Required Experience

1. 5+ years’ experience in SAM / ITAM roles
2. Strong background within financial services or other regulated industries
3. Proven experience working within greenfield ITAM/SAM transformation environments, building and maturing asset management capabilities from the ground up.
4. Strong end-to-end lifecycle management expertise across hardware and software assets.
5. Demonstrable experience building meaningful dashboards, reporting, and management information to support governance, compliance, and operational decision-making.
6. Experience defining, implementing, and improving ITAM/SAM processes, controls, and operational capabilities.
7. Proven track record of identifying, managing, and remediating audit findings and control gaps within regulated environments.
