Are you an experienced Claims Handler with a background in motor claims looking for your next opportunity within a professional and growing insurance business?

We’re working with a highly respected insurance brokerage seeking a proactive and customer-focused Claims Handler to join their established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys managing claims from first notification through to settlement while delivering an exceptional level of service to clients throughout the process.

The Opportunity

You’ll be responsible for handling a varied caseload of motor and general insurance claims, acting as a key point of contact for clients, insurers, and third parties. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage claims efficiently while ensuring positive customer outcomes.

This position would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, taking ownership of claims, and working within a fast-paced insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing motor claims from first notification through to settlement
  • Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, recovery agents, and third parties
  • Providing clear guidance and support to clients throughout the claims process
  • Reviewing policy cover and validating claims accurately
  • Identifying complex or potentially suspicious claims and escalating where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
  • Delivering outstanding customer service while working within FCA guidelines
  • Supporting both personal and commercial lines claims when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Claims Handler position within an insurer or brokerage
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end claims process
  • Experience handling motor claims
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, accurate, and able to prioritise workload effectively
  • Comfortable working with internal systems and Microsoft Office
  • A professional and client-focused approach
