Primary - Sen Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team on a part-time, morning-only basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development in a positive and engaging classroom environment.

The role will be starting in September and will be for the full academic year working each day.

You will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning across KS2, helping pupils to build confidence, independence, and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning in Key Stage 2 classrooms
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
  • Assist with literacy and numeracy interventions
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
  • Support pupils’ engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing
  • Supervise pupils during classroom activities and transitions
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment

About You

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children (KS2 experience desirable)
  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Is patient, supportive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Works effectively as part of a team
  • Is reliable, organised, and proactive
  • Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) or equivalent experience
