Financial Accountant – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be working within a team of 4. This is a crucial role in supporting with month end and you will be required to deputise for the Finance Manager when required.  Your key responsibilities will be:

• Prepare and post journals including payroll, accruals, prepayments and reallocations.
• Ownership of monthly and intercompany reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Assist with monitoring cash flow movements and supporting cash forecasting.
• Supporting the Finance Manager in the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and support daily cash postings.
• Management of business overhead control process including setting annual targets.
• VAT return preparation, including reconciling VAT control accounts.
• Maintain the fixes asset register.
• Support continuous improvement of processes, controls and reporting.

The successful Financial Accountant will have:

•  Previous experience in a similar position
• Part or fully qualified candidates will be considered
• Strong excel skills is essential
• Previous experience with SAP is desirable
