Assistant Management Accountant

Stoke-on-Trent (Office-Based)
Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT-qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience) professional looking to play a key role in supporting the finance function within a busy and dynamic business.This is a fully office-based role (5 days per week), particularly important during the initial onboarding period.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain and analyse financial data using advanced Excel
• Work with finance systems including Sage 200 and SUN (Unit4)
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Provide financial insights and support to the wider business

About You

• AAT qualified or QBE with relevant experience
• Strong experience using Sage or other finance/ accounting systems
• Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach
