A Local Authority in the North East is currently looking to recruit an experienced SEND Caseworker to join their SEND Assessment and Reviews Team.

  • Rate: £270 per day
  • Contract: 3 month contract (likely extension)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Working Arrangements: Remote
About the Role

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating SEND assessments and annual reviews for children and young people aged 0-25, ensuring statutory timescales are met and high-quality support is delivered.

The role will involve working closely with schools, settings, families, and multi-agency professionals to promote effective person-centred planning and positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

You will also support the ongoing development and implementation of EHCP processes and contribute towards a strong culture of continuous improvement within the SEND service.

Key Requirements

Previous SEND Casework experience within a Local Authority
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory processes
Experience managing EHCP assessments and annual reviews
Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently
Confident liaising with schools, families, and partner agencies
