Reporting to the Central Income and Payments Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
Handling daily queries and enquiries from both internal and external customers
Maintaining and updating the customer database in Oracle Accounts Receivable
Setting up and amending direct debit instructions
Dispatching automated reminder letters on a set schedule
Correcting receipt posting queries
Raising credit notes, processing refunds for overpayments, and handling write-offs
Distributing invoices, managing enclosures, and occasionally raising invoices for smaller departments
Supporting the wider Income and Payments section as needed
Collaborating closely with fellow Accounts Receivable Officers to ensure deadlines are met
What you will need:
Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger, or Credit Control role
Understanding of financial billing and invoicing procedures
Experience with general office procedures and strong literacy and numeracy skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience using an Accounts Receivable package such as Oracle
Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
Ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines, and maintain accurate records
A team player mindset and an understanding of data protection principles
