We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist setting in central Bristol. This is a rewarding, hands-on role for someone passionate about supporting young people who require consistent, relational support to engage with education.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Morning sessions will involve outreach and enrichment activities with students.
  • Afternoon support will be focused on 1:1 SEMH intervention.
  • Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff.
  • Helping students develop confidence, independence, and life skills.

This role is full-time and will run until the end of the academic year.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting SEN/SEMH students.
  • Secondary-aged experience preferred.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
  • Two professional references, covering the last 2 years.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance.
  • Ability to start ASAP.
  • Calm, resilient, and relationship-focused approach.
