We are seeking a qualified Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Bolton. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality drama education to students, fostering a creative learning environment, and contributing to the school's extracurricular activities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Inspire students to appreciate and excel in drama.
  • Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for qualifications and future careers in the arts.
  • Direct school plays and productions, coordinating rehearsals and managing performance events.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate drama across the curriculum.
  • Participate in and organise school events and activities related to the arts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama or related subjects.
  • Experience teaching drama at secondary school level.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Passion for drama and education.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Experience in directing plays and managing performances is highly desirable.
