Role Summary:

An opportunity has arisen for a Claims Handler to join a close-knit commercial claims team in Leeds. The role will focus initially on commercial motor claims, whilst providing the opportunity to broaden into liability and property claims over time with structured support from experienced colleagues. Alongside hands-on claims handling, you will work closely with clients through reporting and review meetings, giving you wider exposure to relationship management and the broader broking process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of commercial motor claims from first notification through to settlement, allowing you to take ownership of your own caseload

• Build strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted point of contact across day-to-day claims matters

• Produce claims reports and support claims review meetings, helping clients understand trends and improve outcomes

• Work alongside insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and internal stakeholders to progress claims efficiently

• Develop exposure to liability and property claims over time through ongoing support from an experienced team

• Attend client and site visits where appropriate, gaining wider exposure to the end-to-end broking process


Requirements:

• Previous commercial motor claims handling experience

• Broker background preferred, although insurer backgrounds will also be considered

• Strong communication and client-facing skills

• Comfortable managing your own workload whilst working collaboratively within a team

• Working knowledge of Acturis would be beneficial but is not essential

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Interest in developing a long-term career within commercial claims
