Catastrophic Injury Lawyer | Newcastle | Hybrid Working

A highly regarded Complex Injury team in Newcastle have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Catastrophic Injury Lawyer to join them, specialising in high-value, defendant personal injury claims.

This role offers the chance to work on some of the most challenging and technically demanding cases, acting on behalf of major insurer clients in matters involving traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, serious orthopaedic injuries and fatal accidents.

The Role

• Assist with the management of high-value catastrophic injury caseloads.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, counsel and claimant representatives.
• Analyse liability, indemnity and quantum issues, including medical evidence and expert reports.
• Support case strategy across hearings, mediations, settlement meetings and trials.
• Conduct detailed legal research and provide technically robust advice.
• Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Proven experience handling or assisting with large loss/catastrophic injury claims.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedure and high-value personal injury claims.
• Defendant insurance litigation experience is preferred, though strong claimant backgrounds will also be considered.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to case management and client service.
