The Paraplanner role

As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with Financial Advisers across the full financial planning journey, helping to shape recommendations, support planning discussions and deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.

This role goes beyond technical research and report writing – you will play an active role in financial planning strategy, contribute to improving operational processes, and help support the continued evolution of the business as it grows.

What you will be doing as a Paraplanner

  • Supporting financial advisers with technical analysis and research across a broad range of client needs
  • Producing detailed and compliant suitability reports and financial planning documentation
  • Conducting provider and product research across pensions, investments and protection solutions
  • Preparing supporting documentation for client recommendations and planning strategies
  • Assisting financial advisers throughout the client journey, including meeting preparation and follow-up actions where appropriate
  • Managing your own workload effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
  • Supporting the ongoing development of internal processes, workflows and efficiencies
  • Helping maintain strong compliance and technical standards across the business

Collaborating closely with colleagues to support positive client outcomes and team success

Your Paraplanning background

This opportunity would suit an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys both the technical and collaborative side of financial planning.

You will likely bring:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum
  • Strong paraplanning experience within an IFA or wealth management environment
  • Technical knowledge across pensions, investments and holistic financial planning
  • Experience producing high-quality suitability reports
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
  • Genuine enthusiasm for building a long-term career within financial planning

Experience with cashflow modelling and financial planning systems would be highly beneficial, alongside familiarity with back-office and suitability reporting software.

Additional exposure to areas such as pension crystallisation, trusts, inheritance tax planning, VCTs or EIS solutions would also be welcomed.
