Join Blackpool Learning Rooms as an MIS and Business Support Officer for a maternity cover position. This key role is responsible for leading the management and strategic use of data systems, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and supporting effective decision-making across the organisation.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead the development and management of Management Information Systems (MIS).
• Ensure compliance with local funding rules and Individual Learner Record (ILR) requirements.
• Compile, validate, and submit accurate and timely data returns.
• Produce and analyse management reports to support service planning, performance monitoring, and strategic decision-making.
• Manage and oversee the administration function.
• Work closely with Curriculum and Quality Managers to ensure effective use of data.
• Monitor data processes and implement improvements where required.
• Support compliance with external audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with MIS systems.
• Strong knowledge of ILR specifications and current funding rules.
• Experience within the Further Education, Adult Learning, or public sector environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience managing or supporting administrative functions.
• Advanced IT and data analysis skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
