Support the growth of large-cap corporate banking relationships, working closely with the Team Head to originate, structure, and execute complex financing solutions. This role offers hands-on exposure to client development, credit analysis, and syndicated and underwritten transactions.

One of the world's largest and most established financial institutions, with a strong global footprint and deep expertise in corporate and investment banking. The London branch plays a key role in connecting UK and international clients to global markets.

Description

  • Originate, develop, and onboard business opportunities, with a focus on large-cap, investment-grade corporate clients.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients and representing the bank across relationship development and transaction execution.
  • Source and structure new business opportunities, including participation in syndicated loans and underwriting transactions, as well as negotiating commercial terms with counterparties.
  • Deliver the bank's full suite of global capabilities to clients by coordinating closely with product partners and international teams.
  • Support the Team Head with client marketing activities, including preparing pitch materials, presentations, and attending client meetings as required.
  • Prepare high-quality credit applications, including detailed customer credit assessments, business and financial risk analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Conduct ongoing client monitoring and reporting, including quarterly and annual reviews, financial covenant assessments, waiver requests, and post-loan monitoring.
  • Work closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to manage credit risk, complete KYC processes, prepare loan documentation, and ensure full regulatory compliance.

Profile

A successful Corporate Banking Relationship Manager should have:

  • A minimum of five years' experience within corporate banking or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and corporate financial analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of the UK large-cap corporate banking market.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse corporate financing structures and loan documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external counterparties.
  • Strong technical capability and high level of computer literacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
