About the role
The successful candidate will support the site General Manager in leading and developing an operational team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and business efficiency, whilst maintaining and enhancing on key performance indicators to achieve operational, financial and service targets. They will foster a culture of working safely and supporting the development of the team.

You will be responsible for
· Managing day to day operational aspects of the warehouse operation, monitoring costs on a daily, weekly and period basis.
· Proactively lead the Health & Safety agenda, creating a safe environment where safe practices ae adhered to and constantly improved upon.
· Proactively develop the leadership and technical skills of the shift operation managers through coaching, mentoring and training / personal development plans.
· Utilising reports, data and information to identify opportunities and trends to improve the depot KPI's
· Leading, challenging and communicating with the management team to achieve best practice and service performance
· People, processes and all functions involved with the warehouse operation in order to achieve Company targets and objectives.
· Playing a proactive role in the development of site / network initiatives
· Demonstrate Winning Manager behaviours and set the standard for direct reports to follow
You will need
Key Capabilities:
Previous experience within a Warehouse operation will be essential. Excellent people management skills together with the ability to plan resource and report KPI information with accuracy are key skills for this role.
Essential Skills
The successful candidate will be required to work predominantly weekdays but flexibility of hours is required with operational needs and may include the occasional weekend working.
