The role
As a Shift Manager, you will lead multiple cross-functional shift teams. You’ll have full accountability for delivering safe, efficient and high-quality production, ensuring products are delivered on time and within agreed financial targets.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading, motivating and developing teams through strong, visible leadership and effective communication
  • Delivering production plans in full by optimising people, materials and equipment
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement using lean tools and methodologies
  • Ensuring full compliance with GMP, quality standards, site hygiene and audit requirements
  • Owning departmental performance across productivity, quality, cost control and inventory accuracy
  • Championing health & safety, leading investigations and ensuring corrective actions are embedded
  • Working closely with engineering to ensure planned maintenance supports operational performance

This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions and actions will directly influence operational results and team engagement.
The candidate
You’ll be an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives in a demanding, operational environment and enjoys developing people while driving performance.

You will bring:
  • At least five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and lean principles
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse, cross-functional teams
  • A structured, detail-focused approach with the confidence to make difficult decisions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure
