Location: Near Needham Market - Office based (Free Parking) 
Contract: 9-Month Fixed-Term Contract, Full-Time
Salary: £25,000-£27,000 per annum 

About the Role

We are working with a growing organisation operating within an environmentally focused and operationally busy environment. They are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a 9-month fixed-term contract to support their finance and wider office function during a key period.

This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working across accounts, administration, and customer interaction within a close-knit team.

Role Overview

Reporting into the finance function, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting activities while also assisting with operational and office-based duties. The role involves regular interaction with both commercial and public-facing customers and offers excellent exposure across multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate sales ledger records
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, payments and supplier reconciliations
  • Supporting general accounting tasks, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Assisting with product sales administration and liaison with internal teams
  • Operating a busy weighbridge, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Providing general office and administrative support as required

Skills & Experience

  • Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Sage is desirable
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working as part of a small, collaborative team
  • Previous experience in an accounts or office-based role preferred

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 09:00 – 17:00 (30-minute lunch break)
  • 37.5 hours per week
