Reed is working closely with a friendly and forward-thinking primary school in the Castleford area to appoint an experienced Year 5 Teacher for a full-time, long-term role, starting as soon as possible.

This position would suit a teacher who is confident in Key Stage 2, enjoys the challenge of upper KS2 teaching, and is looking to commit to a stable role within a supportive and well-organised school.

About the Role
  • Teaching a Year 5 class, taking full responsibility for planning, delivery and assessment
  • Providing engaging, structured lessons that support both academic progress and personal development
  • Establishing clear routines and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Tracking pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities
  • Working collaboratively with senior leaders, support staff and parents
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent, recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent and relevant experience in KS2, with Year 5 experience highly desirable
  • A confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills
  • Someone reliable, organised and committed to seeing a long-term placement through
  • Availability to start immediately, or within a short timeframe
