Senior Commercial Account Handler

An established insurance brokerage is seeking a Senior Commercial Account Handler to support Account Executives and Directors across a varied portfolio of SME and mid-market commercial clients. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to take on more responsibility within a professional and supportive environment.


You’ll manage key client relationships, support retention and growth activity, and play an active role in delivering high-quality broking and service across the team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage renewals, MTAs, and new business across a commercial portfolio (typically £10k–£20k+ premiums).
  • Prepare market presentations and broking submissions to secure competitive terms.
  • Support Account Executives/Directors with pipeline management and prospect profiling.
  • Produce renewal reports including claims experience analysis.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, insurers, and third parties.
  • Maintain accurate records, diaries, and documentation including renewals and queries.


What we’re looking for:

  • Proven, structured commercial insurance broking/account handler experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
  • Acturis experience is highly desirable.
  • Confident managing renewals, MTAs, and new business independently.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
