Royalties Admin Assistant, £28,000, Central London, 5 days a week in office, 12 month FTC
We are working exclusively with a leading talent management and publishing agency who are looking for a Royalties Assistant to join the wider finance function. This is the perfect opportunity for juniors looking for a start in a finance career, particularly within a creative/media industry. Candidates should be confident building relationships, working with clients/internal colleagues, be highly organised and feel confident with numbers. If you have an interest in books, that would be even better!
Your Role:
Collating, scanning and filing all incoming home/foreign royalty statements to the agency
Inputting all royalty statements received onto a bespoke reporting system
Completing author royalty charts (trackers) for key clients to ensure the completeness of statements received
Chasing publishers for missing royalty statements and outstanding invoices
Following up on existing queries with publishers on behalf of the royalty analysts
Inputting the sales and earnings details for invoice generation
Dealing with requests from agents and clients re royalties as required
Other ad hoc duties to support the Royalties Department and Client Account Department as required
Your Skills & Qualifications:
Recent graduate with experience in admin/office based jobs
Any experience with royalties or royalty statements is desirable.
Confidence with numbers is essential
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and spreadsheet skills.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Happy building relationships internally and externally
An interest in books and publishing is desirable.
