Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Leeds (LS15)
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum plus company bonus
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm

Credit Controller, where you will play a key role in supporting cash flow performance and maintaining strong customer relationships. As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of sales ledger accounts across multiple locations, ensuring timely collection of payments and delivering a high standard of customer service.
Working within a busy and fast paced environment, this role is ideal for someone who is target driven, commercially aware and confident communicating with customers at all levels, whether prior credit control experience or a genuine desire to pursue a role in this field. You will enjoy problem solving, negotiating and building professional relationships while supporting the wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities as Credit Controller: - Manage and maintain a high volume sales ledger across multiple locations
- Proactively chase outstanding debt via telephone, email and written correspondence
- Review aged debt and drive cash collection performance in line with company targets
- Allocate customer payments accurately and maintain up to date account records
- Investigate and resolve account and invoice queries efficiently
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and internal departments
- Support the administration of the Accounts Receivable query management system
- Monitor overdue accounts and escalate issues where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with the Credit Manager to reduce aged debt
- Prioritise workload effectively to ensure deadlines and targets are consistently achieved
Experience Required: - Previous experience within a Credit Control, Collections, Debt Collections or Accounts role preferred
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative while contributing positively within a team environment
- Self motivated with a proactive and target driven attitude
In Return as Credit Controller you will receive: - £26,000 - £29,000 annual salary
