Finance Business Partner – Advanced Manufacturing | Sheffield (Hybrid)

The Role

You’ll act as a key finance partner to operational and project teams, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects and cost centres. This is a highly visible role with strong stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with operational and senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making
• Leading on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts with clear commentary
• Analysing performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving improvements
• Supporting external funding processes, including reporting and compliance
• Improving financial processes, controls, and reporting
• Supporting long-term strategic and financial planning
• Acting as a trusted advisor to non-finance stakeholders

About You:

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a business-facing role.

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience in management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
• Proven ability to business partner with stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a project, contract, or multi-cost centre environment is advantageous
• Comfortable using ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Excel
