Position: Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Police Constabulary
Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Remote working
Hourly Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella
 
The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Civil matters in a Police force, including Public/Employer Liability Claims & unlawful/wrongful arrests
 
Duties may include:
 

• Managing and defending claims involving unlawful or wrongful arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, assault, battery, excessive force, and breaches of human rights.
• Handling public liability and employer’s liability claims brought against police forces and public authorities.
• Advising police officers, police forces, insurers, and public bodies on civil litigation matters and risk management.
