About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive special needs school in Brighton from September 2026. This is a permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to helping children and young people with additional needs achieve their full potential.

You will work with pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural or sensory needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
  • Create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families
  • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Contribute to annual reviews and multi-agency meetings where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working within SEN or specialist education settings
  • A strong understanding of autism and additional learning needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
