About the Tax Division The Tax Division provides VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, Personal Tax, Global Mobility and Employment Tax compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients. The team prides itself on delivering a high-quality, professional and personable service.
The Corporate Tax team works with a growing number of clients across a wide range of sectors and is regularly involved in transactional and advisory projects including restructurings, acquisitions, disposals, demergers and international tax matters.
The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and technically capable Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing Corporate Tax team.
The successful candidate will support Senior Managers, Directors and Partners in delivering high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client portfolio, while also assisting in the supervision and development of junior team members.

Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Management & Client Delivery - Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring high standards of service delivery and adherence to deadlines
- Acting as a primary day-to-day contact for clients and maintaining strong long-term relationships
- Liaising with audit and accounting teams to coordinate work plans and deliverables
- Managing filing deadlines, client communications and information requests proactively
- Ensuring timely delivery of signed accounts for iXBRL processing and monitoring downstream compliance workflows
- Reviewing corporation tax computations, returns and supporting schedules
- Reviewing tax provisions and tax accounting adjustments to ensure technical accuracy
Technical & Advisory Responsibilities - Applying strong technical knowledge to identify tax risks, planning opportunities and advisory solutions
- Assisting with a range of advisory assignments including:
- Group restructurings and reorganisations
- Share schemes and employee incentives
- International corporate tax matters
- Tax planning and efficiency reviews
- Preparing high-quality written reports, technical analyses and client advice
- Supporting Directors and Partners on more complex advisory and transactional projects
- Assisting with tax due diligence assignments and contributing to reports and findings
Commercial & Financial Management - Managing WIP, billing and recoveries for allocated clients
- Monitoring budgets and identifying potential overruns early
- Assisting with fee discussions and scope management
- Maintaining an understanding of how tax work contributes to wider commercial objectives
Additional Responsibilities The role may also involve supporting with:
- Tender and new business proposals
- Tax due diligence exercises
- Internal corporation tax training sessions
- Technical research and resolution of tax queries
- Wider advisory and project-based work
People Management The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting and developing junior team members and may have responsibility for direct reports following successful completion of probation.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing coaching, feedback and day-to-day support to junior staff
- Assisting with the delivery of technical and soft skills training
- Promoting quality, consistency and best practice across the team
- Supporting the ongoing development and progression of junior colleagues

Candidate RequirementsSkills, Experience & Qualifications - Proven corporate tax experience gained within practice
- Experience managing a profitable client portfolio
- Strong technical understanding of corporation tax principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-specialists
- Broad technical exposure across SME and large corporate tax matters
- Demonstrable involvement in advisory work and preparation of high-quality written reports, including due diligence reports
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively during busy periods
- Commercial awareness and understanding of profitability, recoveries and client service
- ACA / CA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
Technical Skills - Strong Excel skills
- Experience using Alphatax preferred
- Experience with CCH beneficial
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications
- Interest in tax technology, automation and process improvement would be advantageous
