Key responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure the highest performance standards within our supply base.
- Negotiate deals with suppliers to keep material costs low.
- Source new suppliers as necessary.
- Resolve supply issues and implement solutions to stop re-occurrence. 
- Support the design team during the new product development process.
- Conduct supplier audits with the support of the Quality team.
- Generate ideas and drive actions that support our company strategy.
- Drive sustainability, continuous improvement and lean endeavours. 

Skills and Experience 
- A capable and experienced purchasing professional, able to demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Organised, detail-oriented and driven, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused and adaptable in a fast-moving manufacturing environment with frequent priority/demand changes. 
- Assertive, reliable and able to make decisions based on their own sound judgment. 
- Experience working with an ERP system - Syteline preferred. 
- Educated to CIPS Diploma/Level 4 or above

Occasional travel to visit suppliers within the UK and internationally will be necessary.
