Are you working in motor claims and ready to develop your Personal Injury experience?

We’re recruiting for a Personal Injury Claims Handler to join a growing insurance team in Bolton. This role would suit someone with a motor claims background who wants to build their PI knowledge, handle their own caseload and progress in a structured, supportive environment.

You don’t need to be a senior PI specialist for this role. If you have solid claims experience, strong attention to detail and the right attitude, you’ll be given the support to develop.

What you’ll be doing

As a Personal Injury Claims Handler, you’ll manage a caseload of low to mid-complexity PI claims, with support where needed. You’ll handle claims professionally, investigate liability and keep all parties updated as the claim progresses.

Your role will include:

• Managing your own caseload of Personal Injury claims
• Handling claims from notification through to settlement
• Carrying out liability investigations
• Gathering evidence and reviewing claim information
• Prioritising your workload effectively
• Liaising with customers, insurers, solicitors and internal teams
• Keeping all parties updated clearly and professionally
• Recording accurate notes on claims systems
• Supporting good customer outcomes
• Developing your technical claims knowledge over time

What we’re looking for

This role is ideal for someone with motor claims experience who wants to move further into Personal Injury claims.

You’ll need:

• Motor claims experience
• Personal Injury claims exposure would be beneficial but is not essential
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good attention to detail
• Confidence using computer systems
• The ability to manage a busy caseload
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
• A willingness to work towards CII qualifications
