The Role
The buyer role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to step into a more influential, business-critical role  to make an impact. Day to day the buyer will:
  • Act as a central link between estimating and operations
  • Support procurement across the full project lifecycle
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing agreements and supplier rebates
  • Produce procurement analysis and reporting to support decision-making
  • Support estimators with pricing insight and alternative sourcing options
  • Assist in improving logistics

About You
The successful buyer will be have:
  • Background in buying or procurement (ideally within construction)
  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Naturally curious – keen to understand materials, processes, and project requirements
  • Confident challenging existing approaches and driving improvements
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Commercially aware with a focus on cost control and optimisation
