The Role The buyer role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to step into a more influential, business-critical role to make an impact. Day to day the buyer will:
Act as a central link between estimating and operations
Support procurement across the full project lifecycle
Manage supplier relationships
Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities
Negotiate pricing agreements and supplier rebates
Produce procurement analysis and reporting to support decision-making
Support estimators with pricing insight and alternative sourcing options
Assist in improving logistics

Background in buying or procurement (ideally within construction)

Confident challenging existing approaches and driving improvements
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage suppliers and internal stakeholders
Commercially aware with a focus on cost control and optimisation
